Objectives

Participants will learn the most widely used used and up to date bibliometric indicators, the limitations to bibliometrics and above all how citation analysis fits into research evaluation.

 

Target audience

The course is designed for anyone with an interest in evaluating research outputs, performance and impact including researchers and research managers and also library staff and information professionals

 

Pre-requisites

Participants should be familiar with international abstract and citation databases such as Thomson Reuters Web of Science or Elsevier Scopus
