This course will be tailored for Medical Sciences Academia and will center around preparation for writing an article including bibliographical searching, personal library building and CV building. The course will tackle the main topic of writing the article itself, deconstructing the article into its component parts and giving clear advice on each part of the paper. Prof. Murru will add personal anecdotal experiences to enhance the lecture and will give specific tips on things to look out for and for certain pitfalls to avoid. The course will also cover selecting the right journal, going through the submission process, writing the cover letter and interaction with the reviewers.

Dr. Andrea Murru finalized his Medicine Degree at University of Cagliari, Italy, and specialized in Psychiatry cum laude in the same University.
After completing a Master’s degree in Neuroscience, he achieved an International Doctorate in Medicine, cum laude, in the University of Barcelona, Spain. He currently works as a post-doctoral researcher of the Spanish Network of research in Mental Health (CIBERSAM), in the Bipolar Disorders Unit of the Hospital Clínic, Barcelona, led by Prof. Eduard Vieta.
He is the author of several scientific books and chapters on the treatment of bipolar disorders, as well as more than 50 scientific articles in international peer reviewed journals. He focuses his research on long-term treatments, on implementation of clinical guidelines in daily practice, long-term treatments tolerability and adherence to treatment in patients affected by bipolar disorders and schizoaffective disorders. He tries to actively collaborate with patients’ associations.
