This session began with an introduction to the European Union’s PRIMA funding programme and quickly moved into the specifics of preparing a project idea and leading into a full proposal for one of the PRIMA calls. The session becamea coaching session and guided the participants to the eventual submission of their proposal. The workshop provided researchers the key methodologies that enable them to write a proposal in response to a call for funding with a high chance of successful funding. The workshop was be instructive and gave participants the opportunity to raise their own points of view or to address specific questions concerning them either with the group or privately. There was a series of short lectures with breaks for questions, comments and input from participants and some practical examples to work on.

Dr. Alberto Soraci
President, Technology Broker Italian Association

Alberto Soraci holds a degree in Economics and an MBA in general management. Dr. Soraci possesses more than 17 years of relevant experience in the identification, initiation and development of both national and international projects. He has strong experience managing research cooperation, scientific development and technological innovation projects. He has coached multiple companies and start-ups from Italy, Spain and Belgium.

He is a member of the evaluation panels of several programmes funded by the E.U., the Republic of Egypt and several European countries. Dr. Soraci also possesses extensive experience in the management of complex projects and in evaluating projects in the R&D&I sectors both in Europe and internationally (including all the Mediterranean partners countries area).

He is qualified as an expert of technology transfer at the Politecnico of Milan and Area Science Park of Trieste. Currently, Dr. Soraci stands as the President of the Technology Broker Italian Association. He has also been a member of the advisory board of the University-Industry Interaction Conference since 2013.[:]
