In Support of Open Access: Knowledge E Foundation Endorses DOAJ

We are thrilled to announce that the Knowledge E Foundation is playing an active role in promoting the growth of Open Access by financially supporting the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). Knowledge E’s valuable contribution to aid the crucial operations of DOAJ, a leading organisation that is dedicated to promoting Open Access and enhancing the visibility and discoverability of research worldwide, is in line with Knowledge E’s mission.

More than 20,000 indexed journals and 9,000,000 Open Access articles in 80 languages are currently available on the DOAJ website. Additionally, more than 130 countries are represented in its impressive collection of Open Access research, promoting a more inclusive research landscape. DOAJ’s efforts bridge the gap between authors, journals, and readers, fostering a vibrant ecosystem that thrives on the principles of transparency and accessibility. The organisation’s vision is embedded in establishing both an equitable and a diverse scholarly ecosystem where trusted research can be accessed globally barrier-free.

At Knowledge E, we recognise the significance of DOAJ’s work in advancing Open Access and its impact on the global academic community. Our commitment to endorsing the noble endeavours of such an independent organisation is strengthened by our belief in the transformative power of Open Access and its potential to shape the future of research.
