Knowledge E participated actively at this week’s 2nd Saudi International Conference on Scientific Publishing (SICSP) hosted by King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia 11th – 13th October 2015. Philip Purnell, Knowledge E Director for Research Services, delivered a lecture on ‘Scientific Publishing and Evaluation in the Arab World’ during the first day’s speeches and hosted two well attended half-day workshops on the subsequent days: ‘What International Databases look for when Evaluating a Journal for Indexing’ on Monday 12th with 30 participants spread across both campuses and ‘An Introduction to Bibliometrics’ with more than 40 participants combining both campuses on Tuesday 13th.
Knowledge E presented a series of publishing and research information-based services at its booth in the conference exhibition and Managing Director – Kamran Kardan, said “We are delighted by the response to our keynote lecture, the attendance of both workshops and the demonstrated interest at our exhibition booth by the attendees of the conference, there is clearly a great opportunity for Knowledge E to support regional institutions that aspire to become world-class universities …”
