DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, 29th August 2018 – We are pleased to announce that Knowledge E has extended its collaboration with ORCID and has now become a full ORCID Member. The bilateral ORCID member license agreement was formally signed today. Philip J. Purnell, Director for Knowledge E’s Research and Publishing Services, explains that “this is a natural next step in our continuous efforts to improve our services to researchers. We are now integrating our publishing platform, KnEPublishing.com, with ORCID to facilitate user registration, manuscript submissions as well as auto-population of authors’ ORCID profiles for anything that we publish.”
Matthew Buys, ORCID Director of Membership, says that he is “very pleased to formally welcome Knowledge E as a full ORCID member. We have collaborated with Knowledge E for several years in their capacity as an ORCID partner and they continue to support better understanding and implementation of ORCID across the region. We are therefore very excited to see that Knowledge E will now take the use of ORCID to the next level for its own services.”
About ORCID
ORCID’s vision is a world where all who participate in research and innovation, from imagining to building and managing, are uniquely identified and connected to their contributions across disciplines, and borders, and time. ORCID provides an identifier for individuals to use with their name as they engage in research and innovation activities. We provide open tools that enable transparent and trustworthy connections between researchers, their contributions, and affiliations. We provide this service to help people find information and to simplify reporting and analysis.
