Renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding between Knowledge E and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education signed for three years

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, 13th July 2021 – Following the initial Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreed in April 2020, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and Knowledge E have decided to continue their collaboration through a new MoU signed at the end of June for a renewal period of three years. This MoU strengthens the collaboration between both institutions with the objective of developing and advancing new joint educational programmes and further raises the importance of teaching excellence in pharmacy degree programmes across the MENA region.

Kamran R. Kardan, Knowledge E’s CEO, said, “We are delighted to renew our successful collaboration with ACPE. In 2020, we worked on developing and delivering our first Teaching Excellence Programme in Pharmacy Education in Egypt, and our mutually beneficial cooperation allowed us to contribute to sustainable results in the field. For the next three years, we will expand our activities and explore new and innovative initiatives that will support the development of our vision of moving towards a more knowledgeable world.”

Jan Engle, ACPE’s Executive Director, commented, “ACPE is enthusiastic to continue our collaboration with Knowledge E and our work with the jointly-organised faculty development programme for faculties of pharmacy in Egypt, sponsored by the Egyptian Knowledge Bank. The programme has been extremely successful, as evidenced by the evaluations, feedback and positive comments from participants. It is very exciting to see the ideas, plans and strategies that the participating schools have developed to strengthen their pharmacy degree programmes. ACPE is looking forward to continuing the collaboration with an expanded group of faculties of pharmacy in Egypt.”
