The Arab Journal of Nutrition and Exercise (AJNE) has been accepted for indexing in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, 14th January 2018 – Knowledge E is pleased to announce that the Arab Journal of Nutrition and Exercise (ISSN 2518-6590) has been accepted for indexing in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). The DOAJ database lists more than 10,000 Open Access journals in all subject areas, and its aim is to increase the visibility and readability of open access scientific and scholarly journals in order to increase their usage and impact. While the problem of predatory publishers and journals is increasing, the DOAJ is working as quality control system or a ‘white list’ reference of high quality open access journals, and adherence to international standards for publishers.

Dr. Dimitrios Papandreou, the Arab Journal of Nutrition and Exercise Editor-in-Chief welcomed the news and highlighted the importance of having the journal indexed in the DOAJ and related databases in order to increase the journal’s readership. Philip J. Purnell, Director of Research and Publishing Services at Knowledge E added “having the Arab Journal of Nutrition and Exercise indexed in the reputable DOAJ database is confirmation that we are implementing the highest publishing standards at Knowledge E and adhering to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing
