At Knowledge E, we deeply believe that democratising access to knowledge is essential to promoting education equality. For this reason, we are extremely excited to be attending the Open Science and Societal Impact event that will be hosted from Helsinki, Finland on the 20th of April.
About AESIS and the Event
AESIS stands for Network for Advancing & Evaluating the Societal Impact of Science. It is an open community of professionals from various walks of life, from policymakers to research councils. Members of AESIS are individuals and institutions who believe in the importance of measuring the societal impact of science.
The Open Science and Societal Impact event will bring together numerous Open Science experts who will discuss the educational benefits of opening science and research within and beyond Finland. Experts will also address the significance of committing to responsible practices within Open Access. The seminar will introduce strategies & policies that may incentivise the proliferation of Open Science, safe spaces for open scientific discourse within academia, and among academics and other stakeholder groups, practices that can improve the credibility of Open Science, and much more.
Research professionals, librarians, policy experts, funders, and publishers will find this seminar enriching.
