We are excited to share that our Chief Academic Officer, Dr Emily Choynowski, will be speaking at the International Open Access Week 2026 Roundtable Discussion, hosted online by Qatar National Library (QNL) on 29 October 2026 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM (Qatar time).
In line with this year’s Open Access Week theme, “The Cost of Knowledge”, Emily will join Abdallah Asad, Director of Academic Partnerships at Taylor & Francis, and Milan Vasiljevic, Manager of Electronic Resource Management & Licensing at QNL, for a discussion moderated by Dr Alwaleed Alkhaja, QNL’s Head of Open Access and Copyright.
The panel will explore the rising cost of open access and what a financially sustainable future could look like, the role of diamond open access publishing, whether AI is making knowledge more equitable or adding new costs for stakeholders, and who bears the responsibility and cost of upholding research integrity. The session will close with an open Q&A, so be sure to bring your questions.
