The Knowledge E Foundation team is excited to share that Dr Emily Choynowski, Director of the Forum for Open Research in MENA (FORM), will be speaking at the Open Science Forum exploring the ‘Implementation of the UNESCO Recommendation in the Arab Region’, held by ALECSO and UNESCO at the Mohammad V University. Her session will outline the aims and achievements of FORM, a Knowledge E Foundation initiative focused on advancing Open Science policies and practices across the Arab region. FORM’s mission centers on advancing Open Science practices across the Arab region by facilitating collaboration, sharing actionable insights, and developing practical policies tailored to the needs of research communities and institutions.

About the Open Science Forum

The event focuses on the implementation of the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science in the Arab Region, emphasising its role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and strengthening Science, Technology, and Innovation. This symposium will explore pathways to advance Open Science, bridge digital and technological divides, and enhance scientific research infrastructure, funding, and legislation in the region.
