Our Knowledge E Foundation team will be attending the Science Summit, which coincides with the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA79), in New York from 10 to 27 September.

Convened by Dr Emily Choynowski, Director of Operations at the Forum for Open Research in MENA, we look forward to actively taking part in the session: “Supporting a positive and productive regional environment for scientific collaboration in the Arab World”. This session will take place on 26 September from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. EDT, and it will provide a platform to address key themes, challenges and opportunities for fostering equitable and sustainable research ecosystems within the Arab States, and facilitate multi-stakeholder dialogue concerning the visibility of Arab voices and research within the global scientific community.

After this session, our Founder Kamran R. Kardan will be speaking at the Changemakers Lunch.

If you are attending the Science Summit or you are in New York City, and would like to have a meeting, please reach out to events@knowledgee.com

About Science Summit

The Science Summit during the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) is a premier global event that unites thought leaders, scientists, policymakers, and innovators to address the most pressing scientific and technological challenges of our time.

This year, the Summit will place a special emphasis on the Africa Science Leadership Coalition, which was launched at the UN Civil Society Conference on 9 May 2024, to promote African leadership in science policy decision-making.

The Science Summit aims to bridge the gap between science and policy, ensuring that scientific insights and advancements inform the creation and implementation of effective, sustainable, and inclusive global policies.
