This course is ideal for the following audience:

• Faculty members and preceptors involved in student mentoring, and preceptor training/coordination; as well as faculty members interested to learn about this field for future involvement.

Course Details

This online workshop will focus on preceptor training and provide guidance and methods to be used to help preceptors become better teachers. Participants will learn about important preceptor skills such as how to prepare for a rotation, how to give an orientation, and how to provide feedback. They will also discuss student assessment and techniques to deal with challenging students.
