Mohamad Mostafa, Publishing Editor, Knowledge E has been nominated as Crossref Ambassador for Middle East & North Africa

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, 25th April 2018 – Knowledge E is pleased to announce that Mohamad Mostafa, Publishing Editor at Knowledge E has been nominated as the Crossref Ambassador, https://www.crossref.org/community/our-ambassadors/. Crossref announced this program in early 2018, and Mohamad is one of of 10 ambassadors distributed around the world and the only ambassador in the Middle East.

Mohamad Mostafa holds a B.Sc. in Physics from Menoufia University, Egypt. He has wide experience in Open Access (OA) and scholarly publishing and developed a new initiative ’Think. Check. Attend.‘ whose main goal is to help researchers choose high quality, legitimate conferences to attend and present their research papers. He is also on the ORCID translation reviewing team which has provided the Arabic language interface and outreach materials.

 

Mohamad has delivered several workshops in both Arabic & English to researchers, librarians, and journal editors at different universities across the Middle East, about identifying and avoiding misleading publishers/journals and selecting the right journal for submitting their research. He welcomes the news and says “this is a great achievement for Knowledge E, and allows us to position the company as a unique thought leader in the region. We are looking forward to supporting Crossref members throughout the Middle East in order to enhance the regional research and publishing infrastructure.”
