Signatories of the declaration pledge to honour the following four commitments:

  1. Make openness the default for the research information they use and produce
  2. Work with services and systems that support and enable open research information
  3. Support the sustainability of infrastructures for open research information
  4. Support the collective action to accelerate the transition to openness of research information

Why Become a Signatory?

Open research information promotes transparency within the academic and scientific communities, offering accessibility to crucial knowledge that allows the reproducibility of various studies, nurtures collaborations among researchers, and aids the fast advancement of science and scientific discovery by enabling experts to build on previous findings.

By becoming a signatory to the Barcelona Declaration on Open Research Information, Knowledge E renews its pledge to supporting Open Science, Open Research, and the open movement in general. With its vision of moving towards a more knowledgeable world and its vast portfolio of services, Knowledge E is already supporting the accessible dissemination of research in multiple ways, especially through the Forum for Open Research in MENA (F.O.R.M.).
